Admin and Moderator Management

In Metaforo, there are four pre-defined user roles: 1) Owner 2) Admins 3) Moderators 4) Members

Owner vs Admins

Only owner of the group can moderate other admins, and only owner can transfer the group to other admins and can delete the group entire from Metaforo.

There is only one owner of the group, the one who created the group in the first place, who will also be one of the admins by default. You can only add up to 3 new admins and 5 moderators.

Where is the setting?

Navigate to Manage Settings>Extensions and then click ‘Admins & Moderators’ Settings.

Adding and Removing an admin

Click on the + icon on the Admins section and fill in the username you want to set as admin and select him/her in the list.

Click "X" to remove the admin. Please note that only the group owner can remove admin.

Adding and Removing a moderator

Fill in the username you want to set as moderator and select him/her in the list. Please note that one user can not be an admin and a moderator at the same time.

Click "X" to remove the moderator. Please note that only the group owner and admin can remove moderator.

Transferring Group Ownership

Enter and select the Admin’s name who you want to set as the new owner for this group, and then click the ‘Transfer’ button to save the changes. Please note as soon as you clicked the 'transfer' button, all your admin permissions will be revoked and downgraded to Admin.
